Description: RFQ Attachment 1 (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 using the format found at FAR Subpart 12.6 - Streamlined Procedures for evaluation and solicitation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Heimann Hi-scan 100100V X-ray System Purchase and deliver a Smiths Detection HI-SCAN 100100V X-ray System for the sole purpose of inspecting checked baggage destined to the U.S. Mainland. The machine will aid inspectors and ensure performance of the confiscation of prohibited fruits, vegetables, flowers and soil. This system is found to be the best machine to provide this service and process passengers in a timely and consistent manner. Technicians located on the island of Oahu and upon request will travel and service and/or repair machines as needed. A maintenance contract is in place to service machines from 04/13/2018-04/12/2019. Contract is renewed yearly through MRPBS Procurement. The HI-SCAN 100100V is a compact X-ray security screening system with tunnel dimensions of 100cm by 100cm. Designed for facilities requiring high security screening of items with a large range of dimensions.
