Description
Statement of Work TITLE: F3T2MX7193AW01, Sole Source Acquisition for the purchase of Generator Test Stands The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to Avtron Aerospace, required items to be purchased are: This procurement will be for the upgrade for Generator Test Stands are required to replace the severely outdated operating system, hardware, the hydraulic supply, and the gearing drives on the currently utilized K400BXL Generator Test Stand at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY : This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Avtron Aerospace is the sole manufacturer of the K400BXL stand, and is the only company authorized to install and upgrade the item. The purchase of this upgrade is due to the fact that the current system is obsolete. The current tester requires numerous reboots to initiate operation. Additionally, upgrading the current Generator Test Stand would reduce the likelihood of long periods of repair downtime, eliminate the potential loss of serviceable assets, and subsequent costs.. Purchase of any other system would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 06 Jul 2018 at 2:00 P.M EST.
