Description

Project No. 459-16-103 Real-Time Water Monitoring System PURPOSE AND NEED: Pursuant to VA Directive 1061 Prevention of Healthcare-Associated Legionella Disease and Scald Injury from Potable Water Distribution Systems dated 13 August 2014, VA shall prevent and control healthcare associated Legionella disease in VHA-owned buildings in which patients, residents, or visitors stay overnight. Patients, staff, and visitors to the CFA shall be provided with a facility to reside in, work at, and visit that is safe from the effects of Legionella and scalding. The CFA currently has no real-time monitoring and is currently at risk of Legionella disease developing within the facility. Installation of a Real-Time Water Monitoring System will allow for better prevention and control of the potable water distribution system in compliance with VA Directive 1061. CONSTRUCTION SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide complete construction services to install a water monitoring system as outlined in MGA Architecture LLC plans and specifications for Project Number 459-16-103 Install Water Monitoring System. The drawings and specification should be the basis of biddability and construction, along with the other provisions listed herein. The existing conditions were taken from March through August 2017 site visits and may not reflect exact current conditions. Anticipated Order of Magnitude for this project is $500,000 - $1,000,000. Expected date for RFP posting is on or about 7/16/2018.
