MC-130J VIDEO DISPLAY TERMINAL CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT EVENT This is a Sources Sought Request. This announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by USSOCOM to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses are strictly voluntary and USSOCOM is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. USSOCOM may potentially select one or more candidates for an Other Transactions Agreement (OTA) based on the needs of the agency, funds availability and ability to meet the stated requirement. The OTA may potentially lead to a production contract. WHO: HQ United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Special Operations Forces Acquisition Technology & Logistics (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office - Fixed Wing (PEO-FW) OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this Capability Assessment Event (CAE) is to inform PEO-FW of the current and near future state of technology regarding Video Display Terminals (VDT) to satisfy a form-fit-function solution that replaces existing displays. We are conducting this event to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise and capabilities to meet the requirements to supply a qualified, in-production, replacement VDT for use in the United States Air Force MC-130J aircraft. The VDTs ultimately produced should require no hardware modifications to the aircraft and must be compatible with current aircraft systems. Technical Maturity: • Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7/ Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) 7 TRL 7 as defined by the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Guidebook (August 5, 2010) and a minimum MRL 7 as defined by the DoD Manufacturing Readiness Assessment Deskbook (May 2, 2009). The VDT information to be displayed includes primary flight data, navigation data, aircraft system parameters, advisory, caution, and warning data, aircraft diagnostics, communications, engine system status, formation positioning, radar, and electronic circuit breaker information for the aircraft. CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT EVENT: WHEN: 16-17 August 2018 WHERE: SOFWERX, 1925 E 2nd Avenue, Suite 102 Tampa, FL 33605 LINK: https://www.sofwerx.org/VDT/ The CAE will consist of one-on-one meetings between Government team members and selected individual industry partners. Each presentation should discuss industry's perspective on the benefits, opportunities, and challenges of implementing their proposed VDT solutions. Each one-on-one session will be approximately 45 minutes in length. The CAE will be held at the UNCLASSIFIED level. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: • Vendors wishing to participate are limited to two capabilities for presentation • Participants should submit: 1. A Quad Chart  template is provided on the submission page (https://www.sofwerx.org/VDT/) 2. A White Paper for each capability  Must not exceed two pages in length for each capability. No particular format is required. • Participants should submit their completed quad charts and white papers no later than 18 July 18 to <https://www.sofwerx.org/VDT/> • The Government team will review the quad charts/white papers and select up to 12 attendees for one-on-one 45 minute sessions. • SOFWERX will send invitations with additional directions to the selected participants no later than 27 July 2018.
