Page 2 of 2 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI), ONLY, issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), for the purpose of conducting market research. Accordingly, this RFI constitutes neither a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor a promise to issue a RFP in the future, and it does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service described herein. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not, at this time, seeking proposals and therefore, will not accept, review, or evaluate unsolicited proposals received in response hereto. Please be advised that the U.S. Government will not reimburse Respondents for any costs incurred in the preparation and/or submission of responses to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will solely be at the Respondent s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation action, if issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary; however, any information received shall become the property of the Government and will not be returned to the Respondent. Interested parties are responsible for adequately and clearly marking proprietary, restricted, or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government is seeking sources capable of providing transportation services for Federal Employees in the Kansas City, Missouri area under a Firm-fixed-price contract. Responsibilities: The scope of this proposed effort would be to provide transportation service to and from hotels in the downtown Kansas City, MO area to a designated location (TBD) located approximately 15 miles from downtown in the morning and in the evening. Additional transportation may be required to and from the designated location back to the downtown area hotels throughout the day. VA estimates that it requires transportation of approximately 400 Federal employees. The contractor would be required to be certified and carry all required insurance and bonds to transport Federal Government employees. Furthermore, the contractor is responsible for coordinating with the hotels and for access to and from the designated location. The period of performance for this proposed action is anticipated to be for three business days the week of August 13, 2018, plus or minus two weeks. The applicable North American Index Classification System (NAICS) code is 485999, All Other Transit and Ground Passenger Transportation. Response to this posting is required by July 3, 2018 at 03:00:00 PM ET.
