Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b16 Bronx NY 10468 Synopsis: Please note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor VA Medical Center, is conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing the following services for New York Harbor VAMC. Floor care maintenance: (stripping, waxing, shampooing and other floor care details): The Contractor is required to perform periodic/as needed Floor Care Operations, scheduled by the COR only. Services shall be provided throughout the New York Harbor Healthcare System (Manhattan Campus). AS NEEDED FLOOR CARE, PRIMARILY STRIPPING AND WAXING OF VCT FLOORS THROUGHOUT THE NEW YORK HARBOR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM (MANHATTAN CAMPUS). The requirement includes the moving of furniture, such as, but not limited to: desks, chairs, tables, cabinets (empty) and any other items required to be moved to accomplish the task. Do not move the following: utilized file cabinets, bookcases, modular desks and/or any items require disassembly or heavy lifting equipment; as well as personal property, figurines, plants and other items of a personal nature that could be damaged if moved. In the event that heavy and/or personal items must be removed, Contractor will consult with COR and will make necessary arrangements to have those items removed. Stripping and Waxing Details will also include the cleaning of baseboards, their corners and edges as well as the floor corners & edges. All supplies and equipment must be VA and locally New York Harbor Healthcare System approved. Contractor is required to provide all required equipment and supplies such as mops, microfiber mops, vacuums (including bags/filters), buffers (including pads), floor burnishers (including pads), scrubbers (including brushes), bucket mopping system, floor cleaner, stripper, wax, and any and all supplies required to service and maintain the areas subject to this contract. Contractor is required to provide Emergency Response when needed, for service including but not limited to spills, cleanups or more involved service calls directly involving floor care of a stripping, refinishing, waxing nature. Notification is provided by the EMS Chief and/or designee. It is Federally Mandated that all contracted persons working on VA property comply with all JCAHO, CAP, Information Security Office and local safety precaution requirements, which can include local training and/or testing as needed/required. Privacy Awareness and other certification training will be provided by the NYHHS and is a requirement to all contracted employees working in any contracted position within the NYHHS. All contract employees must wear VA-provided identification badges. Contractors working without VA issued ID is forbidden. No contracted employee will be allowed to work without displaying this VA issued ID. All contracted employees shall wear Contractor-provided uniforms which are clearly distinguishable as an employee of the company awarded the contract to clean above stated areas. Contracted employees will not be allowed to provide service on behalf of the Contractor without wearing a distinguishable uniform provided by the Contractor. Contractor shall provide site visits by supervision/management to inspect and assure job performance of assigned personnel. These site visits must be documented and performed. Except for items/services specifically stated to be government furnished, the Contractor shall furnish and maintain everything required to perform this contract in accordance with all of its terms. Contractor is required to use only VA-approved chemicals in accordance with EMS and Infection Control guidelines. Storage of chemicals will be in accordance with VA regulations. SDS Sheets must be supplied and on file for all chemicals utilized. FREQUENCY TASK As Needed Carpets Cleaned and Shampooed As Needed Strip and Wax VCT floors As Needed Scrub All Floor Types As Needed Buff/Burnish/Polish VCT floors The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 561210. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing via email and must be received no later than July 03, 2018. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources for this procurement relative to NAICS 561210. Qualified offerors shall be experienced in addition to providers (sellers) capable of supporting this facility. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, and examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to DUNS number, address, and point of contact. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and received no later than July 03, 2018 at 1:00PMEST. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.sam.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
