Description
THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. THE SUBMISSION OF PRICING, CAPABILITIES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND OTHER MARKET INFORMATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) under NAICS 337127. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the FedBizOpps or GSA eBuy websites. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Contracts Office, is seeking sources for Adjustable Electric Tables for Department of Veterans Affairs, San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS). Salient Characteristics General Space Committee has approved the request by Engineering Service* to condense workstations, reconfigure space requiring minor construction by in-house projects crew, and making necessary improvements to meet the needs of these technicians. This procurement is for a drop-shipment of electric extended-top tables matching existing tables, fixed-top matching tables and PET felt screens. Drop-Shipment directly to the Hospital is requested with a minimum of one (1) weeks notice prior to shipping. Warranty Requirements All specified product(s) shall be under standard GSA Contract warranties. Open Market items and specified fabrics shall meet the standard manufactures stated warranty claims as published. Required Dimensions and Features per Item Must meet or exceed all current ANSI/BIFMA standards for structural quality. Electric Up/Down Extended Top L Tables: a. Surfaces: Rectangle size ranges available: 23 (24 ) and 29 (30 ) deep, width ranges 34 (36 ), 40 (42 ), 46 (48 ), 52 (54 ), 58 (60 ), 64 (66 ), 70 (72 ), 76 (78 ) 90 degree extended corners shall be available in depths of 23 D (24 ). 23 D models shall be available in widths of 40 (42 ), 46 (48 ) wide by 58 (60 ), 64 (66 ), 70 (72 ), 76 (78 ) wide. Curved/contoured 90 degree intersecting inner corner to accommodate corner mounted keyboard trays. Privacy screens/modesty panels shall be available in a lightweight synesthetic felt, ¼ thick, in a variety of colors. Mounting screen hardware which includes cord management tray shall be an option for secure undersurface attachment to adjustable height worksurface without interference to adjustable legs. Leg support: Overall height shall be electronic motor-assisted with infinite increments within the range of 26 H and 42 H. (Top of worksurface to floor) Height adjustment speed shall be at least 1.5 per second. Push button actuator shall be mounted under the worksurface and shall feature intuitive controls with memory-preset capability. User must hold the buttons continuously to engage operation for safety. Preferences given to least stretcher bar structure or connector bar to best accommodate mounting of 3rd party articulating keyboard trays with least possible interference. Surface must meet Distributed Functional Load ANSI/BIFMA weight load requirements without sagging. VA supplied double desktop monitors, large desktop CPU, lamp, telephone, clamping hardware, and minor accessories such as pencil sharpeners stapler, etc. plus daily working paper loads shall be added to overall weight load factors for typical weight load compliance. All electronic motor cords shall be secured appropriately not to be caught or interfere with working clearances via a sleeve option. Leg support structure must not conflict with edge clamp-mounted accessories for monitors, lamps and modesty screens. Relocation of Leg placement other than standard pre-drilled placement holes, feasible to accommodate a field modified configuration or obstruction as needed. 2 @ C Style Leg required with single concealed back-side-only caster. 1 @ Corner Post Style Leg required with caster. Option for ordering a matching fixed, cranking or pinned height adjustable legs. Electronics: Minimum distributed load (including worksurface) shall not be less than 220 lbs. Repositioned increments of adjustable shelves must be at least ¾ and maximum of 1 in separation, with 75% of allowable height space coverage to provide the maximum adjustment range. Motors must be UL approved, with low voltage motors, synchronized to each leg to maintain a level worksurface. Motor must be able to run from one-watt of reserved standby power. Motors must be fully enclosed in a housing for safety. A DC power supply with 3-prong grounded 6 long power cord for 110V power source shall be provided. Service parts must be guaranteed available for a minimum of 12 years after first order entry date. Resetting instructions provided with each table installation. Tackable Privacy Screens: Variety of Sizes to accommodate 66 and 42 wide worksurfaces. Accommodates 2/3 coverage above surface, 1/3 below surface with screen height 22-28. 100% P.E.T. bleach cleanable felt made from recycle and recyclable materials. Simple attachment to underside of adjustable height worksurfaces. Lightweight tackable material with no framework nor added substrate cores, using only minimal weight attachment hardware.
