- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District has a requirement to supply miter gate leaves and associated ancillary equipment for Lock and Dam 5A, Lock 8, and Lock 10. All supplies will be delivered to Lock and Dam 14 in LeClaire, Iowa. The NAICS code for this procurement is 332312; Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. Our intent is to issue a competitive solicitation in approximately July 2018 for the award of one firm-fixed-price contract. The contract will require 100% performance and payment bonds. This synopsis is not a request for quotes (RFQ), proposals (RFP), or in an invitation for bids (IFB). This is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future-the solicitation will not be issued less than 15 days from the date of this announcement. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation once issued. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Bids will be due not less than 30 days from the date the solicitation is issued. The definitive IFB due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Bidders are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to this Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for any bidder's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM).
