- The Defense Logistics Agency Maritime Puget Sound is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for: 1. Two (2) each, 3D Large Area Laser Scanners that meets the following specifications: -Class 1 Laser Scanner, 1550nm -Scanner Field of View: greater than 260 ˚ azimuth(vertical) and 360 ˚ train(horizontal) -On-board Scan Controller -AC and Battery power source options -Wireless control for remote start operation -Tripod Mountable -Ability to select multiple focused scan patches after preview scan for time savings -On board memory -Operating Temperature: 5 ˚C -40 ˚ C non-condensing humidity -Weight with battery: Less than 7Kg -Scan Rate: capable of greater than 200,000 pts/sec -Range noise of 0.1mm or less between 1m-25m at 90% reflectivity -Range noise of 0.19mm or less between at 10m and at 10% reflectivity -Range error/uncertainty of less than 1mm -Scan Range of 1m or less to 150m or more -Tilt sensor -Color camera for color mapping -Shipping Case -2 Batteries -Battery charger -AC adapter (Brand Name or Equal to Basis Software Inc. Surphaser Model #400) 2. 3 year extended warranty (base year plus 2 additional years) to include parts, labor and annual calibration. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 334118. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
