- DRAFT RFQ Description: The following is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for this requirement. This is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) on or about July 13, 2018 on the FedBizOps website at www.fbo.gov. This requirement includes a construction project entitled Stockton Lake Project Power Plant Storage Building. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $25,000 to $100,000. The NAICS code for this specialty is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The size standard is $36.5 million. This requirement will be a 100% set-aside for small business. This RFQ will result in the award of asingle Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) construction contract. If your quotes exceeds $150,000 Bid bond will be required with your qoute in the amount of 20% of the quoted price or $3,000,000.00 whichever is less. At this time, no pre-solicitation conference is planned for this solicitation. If the government does elect to hold a pre-solicitation conference, the pre-solicitation announcement will be modified accordingly. The Scope of work requires the Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials to construct one (1) pre-engineered, metal storage building for the Stockton Lake Power Plant at the Stockton Lake Project, Stockton Missouri. The Contractor is to furnish and construct one pre-engineered metal building system of size and with spacing, slopes, and spans indicated. • 40'W x 60'L x 14'H sidewalls. • Building shall be a single gable, rigid clear span solid-member, structural-framing system without interior columns. Columns and rafters shall be tapered type. • Roof pitch must be 4/12. • Roof and gable sheeting shall be 26 gauge PBR metal. Color will be selected by Government the from a manufacturers color chart. • No insulation will required. • No side or end wall sheet metal required. • No gutters required. • Sheet gable ends down to the eave height of 14'. • Includes gable, rake, ridge, corner and eave trim. Color will be selected from a manufacturers color chart. • Includes installation of 8 steel reinforced concrete piers (4 per sidewall), with anchor bolts cast in place. Anchor bolts shall be tied into the rebar cage for the pads. Piers will be sized in accordance with the building manufacturers specifications for the building provided. • All columns shall be painted up to the eave height to protect them from the elements as they will be exposed. Surfaces will be properly prepared prior to painting to ensure proper adherence to the metal. Two coats of paint shall be applied. Paint color will be selected to match/compliment the color of the building. • Site prep and pad leveling will not be required. This work will be performed by others. The contractor shall perform in accordance with the technical specifications and drawings. This project includes all work delineated in the Specifications and Plans and any incidental work to provide a complete and usable project. The estimated performance period for completion of construction is1 80 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
