Description

**ALL FIRMS ARE INSTRUCTED NOT TO CALL THE INDIVIDUAL VA MEDICAL CENTERS REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION. ** CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - 600-18-200, LB - Pharmacy Bdg. 126 Rm. 904 Clean Room Site Prep CONST. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Long Beach VA Health Care System (LBVAHCS) has a requirement for the installation of a Clean Room for sterile hazardous compounding in accordance with USP 800 regulations. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. Work includes, but is not limited to: electrical, mechanical HVAC, mechanical plumbing, and infection control. A Statement of Work (SOW) will define the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit; date, time and location of site visit still to be determined. Information regarding the site visit will be indicated in the solicitation when posted. All offerors are strongly urged to attend. Due to anticipated response and limited space, please limit the number of attendees in your group. Statement of Work, Specifications, and Drawings will be issued as attachments to the solicitation. Long Beach VA Health Care System (LBVAHCS) Engineering Service Department requires a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, qualified supervision, engineering, and services for clean room site prep. This notice is issued by NCO-22 Gilbert, Located in Phoenix Arizona. However, work will be performed at the following VA facility: LONG BEACH VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (LBVAHCS): 5901 E. 7TH STREET LONG BEACH, CA 90822 This construction project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement is 238910 Site Preparation Contractors. Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $15M.   The resulting contract will be a firm fixed construction contract. The period of performance of the contract is intended to be 45 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with no options included. The anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project, in accordance with VAAR 836.204 is projected to be: Between $250,000 and $500,000. It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued in August, 2018. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE OTHER THAN WHAT IS NOTED HEREIN.
