- Sources Sought Announcement Title: Dual UN Asymmetric cell culture chamber workstation and stand ID: SS-NIAID-1914950 Post Date: June 29, 2018 Response Date: July 05, 2018 Classification Code: 66 NAICS: 334516 Introduction This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Background, Purpose, Objectives The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Laboratory of Bacteriology (LB) is currently seeking sources capable of providing the following Dual UN Asymmetrical Cell Culture Chamber Workstation and stand for the location on the Rocky Mountain Laboratory campus located in Hamilton, MT. Anticipated Award date: It is anticipated that an award will be made 45 days after this closing of this posting on 7/05/18. Capability Statement/Information Sought All capable vendors should respond with a brief capability statement by July 05, 2018 at 5:00 PM EST. Capability statements must reference similar work that has been performed by the contractor and any experience with contracts of similar size and scope. Project and Brand name or equal requirements: Successful offerors must have the knowledge, skill, ability, and resources to reliably fulfill the following requirements: Dual UN Asymmetric cell culture chamber workstation and stand requirements: 1.Internal Dimension: 47" x 24" x 27" (w x d x h) Left 2.Internal Dimension: 40" x 30" x 32" (w x d x h) Right 3.Interlock Dimension: 11" x 8" x 8" (w x d x h) 4.Large internal working area, at least 0.72 square meters for the main Chamber (1.2m wide x 0.6m deep) offering space for incubation, passaging, media transfers and waste disposal all under the same continuous physiological conditions. A single closed cell culture Chamber of 426L which offers very stable O2, CO2, temperature and humidity control. 5.Two "free-flow" incubation racks, Removable front cover with triple glove ports, Three electrical power sockets, Cable gland port, Vacuum line port, Gas tank regulators and filter modules. 6.Hepa-filtration unit above the Chamber and complies with ISO 14644-1 Clean Room Air Quality Standard delivering Class 100 Air quality (equivalent to EU Tissue Culture Directive Grade "B", or ISO Class 5), also meets microbiological safety levels and controls VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds). 7.Programmable Gas Mixer module for at least 4 different O2 and CO2 sensors, which must be on separate timers. 8.Digital O2 sensor 9.Direct-Hand Access into Workstation, using Gloveless Sleeves 10.Removable Front Cover 11.Touchscreen control panel for O2 calibration If your organization has the potential capacity to support this requirement, please provide the following information: 1) organization name, address, point of contact, email address, website address, telephone number, DUNS number and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of capability. Capability statements should also include documentation indicating that offerors business size as determined by the Small Business Administration's Table of Size Standards located at: (https://www.sba.gov/content/small-business-size-standards) for NAICS 334516. This SBA size standard is currently 1000 employees but is subject to change. Prospective offerors may also note whether they meet any other socio-economic business categories such as 8(a), Hub-Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran when submitting their capability statement. Submission Instructions Interested businesses who consider themselves qualified to perform the above-listed services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by Thursday, July 05, 2018 at 5:00 PM EST.
