Sources Sought Notice The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential Small Businesses especially any SDVOSB offerors capable of providing 2 GETINGE CARDIOSAVE INTRA-AORTIC BALLOON PUMP or FUNCTIONAL EQUIVALENT as indicated in the Statement of Need (See Below). If capable of offering a functional equivalent, please include product literature indicating physical and functional specifications. These are for the VA Healthcare Center in Wilkes Barre, PA 18711. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should include an authorized distributor letter from the manufacturer, and demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the Statement of Need (See Below). Responses should include the following information: Business name Address Business point of Contact Current Duns Number Authorized Distributor Letter from the Manufacturer All information is to be submitted via e-mail to thomas.cossentino@va.gov Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 4:00 pm (EST) on 7/11/18. Statement of Need for: Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Introduction: The Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, Medical Service Cardiac Cath Lab has determined the need to purchase 2 Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps. Justification: In the Cardiac Cath Lab we presently have two Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP). This device is a just in case piece of equipment, that must be on-site to be used in an emergency. Its primary function is for patients in cardiogenic shock or patients while in the Cardiac Cath Lab have a major complication and need emergent transfer to a more skilled medical facility, this device will help stabilize the patient to allow for him or her to be transferred safely. We have been notified that the two IABP s we have are at end of life and need to be replaced. Requirements: Must be compatible with all current and future Maquet IABP Catheters. Must be able to convert from Hospital configuration to transport configuration easily and quickly. Must have both AC and battery back-up Multiple triggers for balloon inflation/deflation Ability to detect pacemaker Ease of use for insertion and operation Must provide installation and on-site training along with annual competency training for all staff. Quantity: Two Delivery: VAMC Wilkes Barre, Warehouse, 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711; Weekdays 8:00am 4:00pm, excluding any government holidays.
