Description
The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking potential sources for the delivery of a 3-D terrestrial laser scanner with RGB and thermal camera to Kearneysville, West Virginia. Firms responding shall specify that their equipment meets the specifications provided below and provide detailed product information to show clear technical compliance. The equipment to be delivered must meet the following specifications: 1.Lightweight (1 kg or less), portable, battery powered wireless 3D imaging laser scanner 2.Capable of quickly (< 5 min) acquiring co-registered laser returns, RGB imagery, and thermal imagery 3.Capable of storing up to 100 scans internally, and capable of interfacing with a tablet computer (iPad) for live review of scanning results and point cloud storage 4.Laser scanner must operate in the infrared wavelength (830nm) 5.Must have 360 ° (horizontal) and 300 ° (vertical) scanning capability 6.A scanning rate of up to 360,000 pts/sec 7.3D point accuracy of 8mm or less at 20m and scanning range of up to 60m 8.RGB camera(s) must be high resolution (15 Mpixel) with full dome capture capability (360 ° horizontal and 300 ° vertical) to produce calibrated spherical imagery co-registered to the laser scan 9.Thermal camera must be a long wavelength FLIR camera capable of producing thermal panoramic imagery (360 ° horizontal, 70 ° vertical) 10.Scanner should have IP54 rating dust and moisture ingress protection for use outdoors All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to provide the requested equipment to the point of contact below. Firms responding shall indicate their socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service disabled veteran, woman/women owned, HUBZone, etc.). The Government's evaluation of the capabilities of respondents will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted. The NAICS code is 334519. The size standard is 500 employees. This is not a request for quotes. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses received under this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in responses to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments. All interested firms shall submit a capabilities package that explicitly demonstrates company capabilities and product specifications related to this effort.
