- Repair Storm Damaged Public Fishing Pier and Government Boat Docks at Davis Bayou, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Ocean Springs, MS (PMIS # 228279) LOCAL AREA SET-ASIDE: Acquisition is set-aside 100% Small Business; only local firms within a specific geographic area may compete. The specific geographic area includes the following Mississippi counties: Hancock, Harrison and Jackson (see attach map on FEMA-4350-DR, Mississippi Disaster Declaration as of 01/02/2018). NAICS Code: 237990, Size Standard: $36.5 million average annual receipts for the last three years. 1.BACKGROUND This is public fishing pier and government dock used for park boat operations.This project will remove all debris and replace some framing and all stringers, railings and decking compromised after Hurricane Nate. 2.OBJECTIVES: This contract is to remove all existing debris from the dock area as well as the land adjacent to the dock and replace some structure and all stringers, deck boards and railings to meet ABA standards. 3.PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Davis Bayou Public Fishing Pier and Government Dock, Street Address: 3500 Park Road, Ocean Springs MS 39564 4.PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: All tasks and deliverables for this contract must be completed within 120 days after Notice to proceed. Days listed herein refer to calendar days. The primary and approved work schedule is Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 am to 4:30 pm. Any days or hours outside the primary work schedule will have to be requested in advance and approved by the COR in advance. 5.SCOPE: NOTE: WHEN THIS DOCUMENT REFERS TO FRAMING, THE FRAMING IS THE MAIN STRUCTURE THAT ATTACHES TO THE CONCRETE PILING. WHEN THIS DOCUMENT REFERS TO STRINGERS, THE STRINGERS WILL CONSIST OF OVERLAPPING 3X8 DECK JOIST NOTCHED OVER 4X12 BEAM (SHEET PRINTS 43 & 44). Replace Railing, approx. 700 LF Replace Stringers, approx. 3000 LF Replace Framing, approx. 300 SF (3 ea. 16 linear feet sections) Replace Decking, approx. 9264 SF Replace two EATON Lighthouse Model LH 3050 (or approved equal) Check and repair if needed electrical power to all boat lifts, approx. 6 lifts Repair and or replace conduit and wiring to boat lifts on dock and pier, approx. 200 LF All new construction will conform to current ABA standards (ie. railing on fishing pier). All other specification and requirements will refer to provided blueprints and plans to be made available as part of the Solicitation package. Magnitude of Construction: the estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Solicitation with specifications will be posted on or about Jul 108, 2018. NO HARD COPIES OF THE PACKAGE WILL BE ISSUED.
