- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Dental Handpieces The overall purpose is to provide seventy-five (75) dental handpieces equipment for the Dental/Oral Surgery Service at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS), Medicine Service, located at 2400 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. The specific requirements for this procurement are listed in the Statement of Work and Required Items List within this Sources Sought notice. Instruction to Offerors Guidance: This Sources Sought Notice is not a Request for Quote (RFQ). No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the government to a particular acquisition approach. Any information provided to the Government as a result of this sources sought notice is voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlement to payment or direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses or the Government s use of such information. This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and is intended to identify contractors in any socioeconomic category who can support this requirement. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION Interested contractors shall submit a response via e-mail only to Iris Ramirez, Contract Specialist iris.ramirez@va.gov. Responses are due no later than July 12, 2018 by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Respondents should include as part of their submission: Indicate if you can provide all items listed in the Statement of Work to include installation and training. If/when this requirement is solicited it will be all or nothing meaning that prospective contractors must be able to provide all items. Please do not submit a price quote as this request is for market research/informational purposes only. The purpose is to identify potential contractors that can provide the dental handpieces equipment. Statement of Work Dental Handpieces Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System New Orleans, LA 06/27/2018 1. PURPOSE: 1.1 The purpose is to provide seventy-five (75) dental handpieces equipment for the Dental/Oral Surgery Service at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) Dental/Oral Surgery Clinic, Outpatient Building, 2400 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119. 2. SCOPE: 2.1 The Contractor shall provide all listed equipment. All products must meet all salient characteristics defined in this section. All products shall be compatible with existing equipment (chair and unit) for optimum outcome and efficiency. 2.2 SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.2.1 Air Driven Lowspeed Handpieces (75) A-DEC, Model Alegra 300, WE-56T Air Driven, #0.30120001, OR EQUIVALENT as follows: Specifications/Salient Characteristics Air driven low speed handpiece Used for restorative and finishing procedures Pedo (mini) head design improves access and visibility Gear ratio 1:1 Length 87.9 mm Head diameter 10.1mm Head height without bur 13.01mm Head height with 19mm bur 20.7mm Weight 1.48 oz (42g) Maximum operating speed is 20,000 rpm Push button chuck with push-button for 2.35mm latch burs Outer shell is crafted from aluminum alloy and finished with glass protective coating Can be sterilized up to 136 degrees C (277 degrees F) Ball-bearing swivel connection between the handpiece and motor Requires use of air motor or electric micro motor UL Classified in USA and CE compliant 3. DELIVERY: 3.1 Contractor shall deliver all equipment to the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) Campus 2400 Canal St, C&P Building, New Orleans, LA 70119. Central Energy Plant building, 2401 Tulane St, New Orleans, LA 70119, no later than August 27, 2018. 3.2 Deliver materials to job in manufacturer's original sealed containers with brand name marked thereon. 3.3 Packaged to prevent damage or deterioration during shipment, handling, and storage. 3.4 Maintain protective covering in place and in good repair until delivery is necessary. 3.5 Any government requested delayed delivery up to 90 days after initial awarded delivery date, shall be at no additional cost to the Government. 3.6 A pre-delivery meeting will be conducted 15 days prior to initial awarded delivery date for verification of delivery. 4. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: 4.1 The Contractor shall conduct a joint inspection with the COR upon delivery of tools. 4.2 Contractor shall provide dates of completion of punch list items and replacement parts and/or short ship items from the manufacturer(s). 5. DELIVERABLES: 5.1 Operation and Maintenance Manuals 5.1.1 Binders - Quantity (2) each for items 2.2.1. 5.1.2 Digital Copies- Quantity (1) each for items 2.2.1. 5.2 Deliver compilation of all manufacturer recommended maintenance schedule and operation materials packaged in binder(s) to COR upon completion of installation. 6. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: 6.1 The Certification & Accreditation (C&A) requirements do not apply and a Security Accreditation Package is not required. 7. WARRANTY: 7.1 The contractor shall provide all manufacturers warranty with products upon delivery.
