- This is a Pre-Solicitation/Synopsis: This opportunity is only available to Small Businesses. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Region 8, has a requirement for Design/Build services to rehabilitate the existing hybrid photovoltaic system at Farallon Island National Wildlife Refuge, CA (San Francisco County). This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This will be a Firm Fixed Priced Contract and Award will be based on Lowest-Price Technically-Acceptable (LPTA). The Solicitation and associated documents (specifications, drawings, etc.) will be posted to https://www.fbo.gov and available on https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/Default.htm public opportunities on or about July 23, 2018. Interested contractors must be registered in SAM (System for Award Management, www.sam.gov) and complete Online Representations and Certifications. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 0700 hrs. Contractors will be required to provide the Contracting Officer with the names, phone numbers, and emails of all of those attending by close of business on Monday July 30, 2018. Those who do not provide this information by the due date will not be allowed to board the boat. Additional information will be provided when the full solicitation is posted. The work will commence within 15 days of Notice to Proceed and be completed by Friday, March 15, 2019. The NAICS code is 237130 “ Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction and the size standard is $36.5 million. The project magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000.
