- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 7 (NCO 7) intends to solicit proposals from contractors to provide temporary Critical Care Services on site to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Dorn VAMC in Columbia, South Carolina. Contractor shall furnish services at the Dorn VAMC, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The Contractor s physician(s) shall provide coverage as scheduled in critical care units. Critical care is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. The number of weekends, nights, and holidays hours contractor s physician(s) will be required will vary depending on the needs of the Surgery Critical Care Units. The anticipated contract s period of performance will be six (6) months, with an additional six (6) month option period to be exercised at the Government s discretion. The estimated number of hours over this six (6) month period is 1100. Services will be rendered in the following patient care areas: Medical Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit. Consultative services will be provided in other inpatient and outpatient areas throughout the facility including Emergency Department, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Medical Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, General Medicine and Surgical Units, and outpatient Pulmonary Clinics. The VA anticipates issuing a competitive solicitation, SDVOSB set aside, for this requirement on or about July 13, 2018. The proposal due date will be approximately 10 calendar days after the solicitation is issued. Interested offerors will be responsible for downloading copies of the contemplated solicitation and any subsequent amendments. No hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website (https://www.fbo.gov) so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management database. Registration is free, and potential offerors are encouraged to visit the SAM website, as no contract can be awarded to any offeror not registered in SAM. The NAICS Code is 561320 (Temporary Help Services) with a Small Business Size Standard of $27.5M.
