Applicable Clauses COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION Purchase Scrap Railroad Wheels (I)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis/solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II)This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Submit written quotes on RFQ Number PMEL-18-01274. (III)The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-98. (IV)This solicitation is being issued with a total small business Set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 331511 and the PSC code is PSC 9670. (V)This combined solicitation/synopsis is for purchase of the following commercial items: Provide scrap railroad wheels that comply with the following specifications: TYPE B--Scrap railroad wheel with axel pressed out. Minimum hole diameter eight and one-fourth (8-1/4") inches, with a weight of 840 pounds, +- 30 pounds. TYPE C -Scrap railroad wheel with axel pressed out. Minimum hole diameter of eight and one-fourth (8-1/4") inches, with a weight of 710 pounds, +-30 pounds. (VI)Description of requirements is as follows: Quantity of 72 type B wheels Quantity of 52 type C wheels (VII)Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance 09/07/2018 Shipping will be via Government Bill of Lading from inside the continental U.S. If providing wheels from outside the continental U.S., the shipping to the port of Seattle should be priced into the cost of the wheels.
