Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Erie VA Medical Center, Erie, PA, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) with Steris Corporation for removal of two (2) existing Steris ethylene oxide sterilizers and replacement with/supply and installation of two (2) Steris VPRO MAX H202 Sterilizers for the Sterile Processing Services Department. The Justification and Approval for this action will be included as a part of the award notice. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used and the resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS Code is 339112 and the Size Standard is 750 employees. This special notice serves as notice of intent to award a sole source a contract and is not a request for competitive proposals, nor is it a solicitation or request for offers. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that a prospective offeror can fulfill the requirements of the solicitation and that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
