Description
This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. a. Demolition 1. Contractor must remove existing "log" stepping forms (qty 8, eight), save for reuse. Prep forms and area for relocation. 2. Contractor must demo existing CMU block wall in its entirety prep area for new chain link fence. b. Construction 1. Contractor must reinstall "log" stepping forms (qty 8, eight). Installation should be according to playground safety compliances for spacing. Repair Patch and repair poured-in-place rubber ground surfacing to match existing. 2. Contractor must provide and install new vinyl coated chain link fence in the location where CMU Block wall was removed. Include a latching gate located where existing gate was removed. Fence requirements determined by playground safety. TWO'S PLAYGROUND a. Demolition 1. Contractor must demo/remove existing "dino" climber/slide in its entirety. 2. Contractor must demo/remove existing rubber ground tiles in their entirety, prep area for new poured-in-place rubber ground surfacing b. Construction 1. Contractor must repair area in existing sand box after removal of "dino" climber, add additional sand as required by Playground Safety Compliances. 2. Contractor must provide and install new poured-in-place rubber ground surfacing, in located where rubber tiles were removed. WEST PLAYGROUND a. Demolition 1. Contractor must remove four (4) panels from existing playground structure, two (2) "bubbles" panels and two (2) steering wheel panels. b. Construction 1. Contractor must provide and install four (4) panel to existing playground structure, provide two (2) "bubbles" in same location, and two (2) other "elements" panels. Provide options for other "elements" panels, preferably not steering wheels. All Panels should follow all Playground Safety Compliances. MILLENNIUM PARK PLAYGROUND a. Demolition 1. Contractor must demo/remove existing 2-5year old age group playground structure in its entirety. Remove/Protect existing rubberized ground material and save for reuse. b. Construction 1. Contractor must provide and install new 2-5 year old age group playground structure. Provide options for playground. Playground structure must follow all Playground Safety Compliances. Provide temporary construction fence during demo & construction. 2. Contractor must install rubberized ground material that was saved for reuse. Provide additional rubberized ground material so that all Playground Safety Compliances are followed.
