Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 4, 323 North Shore Drive, Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, intends to conduct a limited competition amongst and award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract to Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) that are authorized dealers for Handicare USA, Inc. the contract will be for the provision of Prism C-625 and C-1000 Ceiling Lifts and certified installation services at the Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) located in Lebanon, PA. The Period of Performance is anticipated to 30 days after award of order (ARO). This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the procedures in FAR 13.106-1 (Authorized distributers of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 238290 with a small business size standard of $15.0M. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 4:00 P.M., ET, on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
