Description

Justification and Approval for Sole Source and Brand Name Sensors Unlmited The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Sensors Unlimited Inc., under the authority 13. 106-1(b) and utilizing FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The procurement is for SWIR Pocket Scopes. NGA believes Sensors Unlimited is the only source reasonably available to satisfy this requirement. No competition is being sought. The period of performance will be for 90 days after contract award. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.102(a)(6) for the requirement to post a brand name justification with the solicitation as required by FAR 13.106-1(b). However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contract Specialist no later than 2:30 pm EST on Monday July 23. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
