- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Standard Tool and Die Company (STADCO). The anticipated contract is for the non-recurring efforts to manufacture, produce, deliver and install an H-60 Ramp-Loaded Laser Tracker Aircraft Alignment (R-LTAA) System and the associated support. The R-LTAA System is a large tool/structure that holds the aircraft in place to accurately determine the position of the aircraft components, accessories and structural fittings and the alignment of the aircraft airframe while measurements are made using a laser tracker. The requirement includes fabrication, testing, inspection to include coordinate measuring machine readouts on every detail item, shipping, installation, and training. An alignment fixture with the capabilities to complete major structural modifications and repair to damaged aircraft is necessary for planned MH-60S deep looks in support of the Service Life Assessment Program (SLAP). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. STADCO has the proprietary technical data, experience, equipment, and special skills to furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe. Note: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any capability statements received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
