PR# 0011185683 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist and if this effort can be successfully competed and/or set-aside for Small Businesses. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339113 - 339113 Implants, Surgical, Manufacturing, FSC - 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies, Size Standard: 750. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central, JBSA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide Medtronic brand products and consumable supplies, tools and accessories that include spinal implants, Cardiac vascular, Neuro-vascular, Embolectomy for a variety of Cardiac surgeries. It is anticipated there will be one at least one (1) award as a result of this action, however, the Government reserves the right to make multiple awards if the Contracting Officer determines it's in the best interest of the Government. This is a new requirement with an anticipated ordering period not to exceed 5 years. The current incumbent is: Medtronic, Inc. 710 Medtronic Pkwy Minneapolis, MN 55440-5603 Contractors responding to this sources sought notice are advised their response does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expense associated with preparation or participation in this research. A current copy of your authorized Distributor agreement from Medtronic Inc. must be provided with your submission. Offerors that provide an emailed response claiming to be capable and authorized to provide Medtronic supplies without submitting the requested distributor agreement at the time of submission will not be considered. Contractor responses should include: 1. The size of your business with regard to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 339113 per the standard described in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.102 (FAR available at http://farsite.hill.af.mil). 2. Recommended Bid schedule (Contract Line item) and invoicing recommendations 3. Company name, DUNS, CAGE, Contact information including phone number and email. 4. Specifically identify whether your company is capable of providing the following; • The full array of products for reconstruction of correction of heart rhythm abnormalities and related surgical supplies necessary to perform cardiac surgeries. Vendor may provide a price list covering all or a portion of the products required for cardiac surgeries. 5. Current Medtronic Distributor agreement 6.
