- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is mandated to operate and maintain the Main Outlet Drain Extension (MODE) and the US By-pass Drain. Therefore, the Yuma Area Office, Yuma, Arizona has a requirement for a construction project to conduct repairs and upgrade improvements to the MOD, MODE, and Bypass Drain. The principle features of the work is for the Contractor to furnish all of the equipment, labor, materials and incidentals necessary to complete the repair requirement to include but no limited to: Earthwork as needed around bridge and wing walls to complete repairs. 1. Backfill and compaction to 95 percent minimum dry density. Selectively removing and legally dispose of cracked and failing surface concrete from the existing concrete headwall, wing walls, and bridge decks or beams. Blast clean all exposed rebar or cut and replace rebar where needed. Placing traffic rated epoxy grout to repair the bridge head and wing walls, bridge decks and beams. Completely clean the areas of all materials, as required to apply epoxy penetrating sealer, and traffic rated epoxy repair grout. For this acquisition, North American Industrial Classification System code is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and the Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 million. This acquisition is a set aside 100% Small Business. The requirement will be solicited and awarded using the procedures in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about July 31, and the date and time for receipt of quotes will be on or about August 21, 2018, however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The Solicitation will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov but the Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD-ROM if the website becomes inoperable or if the Contracting Officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Offerors should register on the website to be included on the offerors list in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation, or visit the web site on or about July 31, 2018, in order to access the solicitation and any subsequent amendments and/or notices. In order to be awarded a contract, vendors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications. Lack of registration in SAM database may make an offeror ineligible for award. No questions regarding this acquisition will be accepted or addressed/answered prior to formal solicitation issuance.
