- SPECIAL NOTICE: SP8000-18-R-0011 SPECIAL NOTICE Solicitation Number: SP8000-18-R-0011 Subject: Notice of intent to solicit for antimony Description: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Strategic Materials intends to procure between 40 and 120 metric tons of antimony. DLA Strategic Materials received congressional approval to procure antimony in the fiscal year (FY) 2018 through the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). DLA Strategic Materials Directorate of Contracting located in Fort Belvoir, VA intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract. This action will be conducted in accordance with FAR 14.5, Two-Step Sealed Bidding. The final contract award decision will be based using the evaluation factors that will be described in the solicitation. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to be eligible for award. This requirement is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The solicitation will be available by or after August 2, 2018. A copy of the solicitation will be available after issuance, on FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov). The Pre-Proposal Conference will be announced in the solicitation. Anticipated award date is October 10, 2018. Federal Service Code (FSC): 9630, Additive Metal Material. Period of performance: 60 months (5 years). Delivery Schedule: All material deliveries and tests/analyses/samples will be accomplished within the prescribed period of performance for this contract.
