Description
STATEMENT OF WORK OBJECTIVE: The objective of this contract is to provide the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) with a contractual obligation for: VA Ice Cream freezer repair. SOW: Contractor will disconnect and remove condensing unit and evaporator from ice cream freezer box. Set new condensing unit and hang new evaporator in freezer box. Run new refrigerant line set and connect system to existing electrical wiring. Pressure test, evacuate, charge system with refrigerant, and start system up. Provide and install new temperature monitors with alarm capabilities for the following areas: Cooler #4, Ice cream freezer #4 and Freezer #6 South. Completion of Repair is 30 days ARO. General Conditions & Responsibility They contractor shall furnish all parts, labor and material for completion of job and provide tools or equipment as needed to complete the job. All materials and workmanship shall comply with all applicable codes, specifications, local ordinances, industry standards and utility company regulations. Contractor must provide and wear all safety equipment while performing duties. IDENTIFICATION, PARKING, SMOKING, AND VA REGULATIONS: The Contractor's FSE shall wear visible identification always while on the premises of the Central Alabama Health Care System (CAVHCS). Contractor shall only park in the appropriate designated parking areas. Information on parking is available from the CAVHCS Police Section. CAVHCS will not invalidate or make reimbursement for parking violations of the contractor under any conditions. Smoking is prohibited inside any buildings at CAVHCS. Possession of weapons is prohibited. Enclosed containers, including tool kits, shall be subject to search. Violations of VA regulations may result in citation answerable in the United States (Federal) District Court, not a local district, state, or municipal court. OBTAINING A VA IDENTIFICATION BADGE Contractor shall contact the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) upon contract award, to receive instructions on how to obtain a VA Identification Badge during the performance of this contract. SECURITY The Contractor will be responsible for ensuring compliance by its employees with the security regulations of the Veteran s Administration where work is performed under this Contract. Contracted employees will have to self-register at https://www.tms.va.gov/learning/user/SelfRegistrationUserSelection.do. Once registered, enroll in class va10176 VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior. Contractors must provide signed certifications of completion to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) during each year of the contract life. Photography or Video on medical center premises is strictly prohibited. Additionally, per VA Regulations 1.218(b) (23) Use of recording devices of any kind to record patients or employees is strictly prohibited. HOURS OF WORK Contractor set up and work shall be during normal working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
