- Description
- The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Translogic Corporation of Denver, CO to provide all labor, travel, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to upgrade the Pneumatic Tube System located at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (JBVAMC), 820 S. Damen Ave., Chicago, IL 60612. The JBVAMC currently uses an outdated version of Swisslog Translogic System Control Software no longer supported by Swisslog (Translogic Corporation). The anticipated contract would upgrade the current System Control Center (SCC) to the newest version of Nexus Platform 7.x and replace hardware which has reached end-of-life (EOL). All new software and hardware must integrate with the current system in place at the JBVAMC. This is a one-time service contract with an anticipated period of performance (POP) of sixty calendar days from date of award. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The Government anticipates the award of a firm fixed price contract for commercial services, and the NAICS Code is 238290 with a size standard of $15 Million. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements described above. Information must be sent via email to Michael.sands3@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
