- Description
- Plans Specification The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a dredging contract for the Houston Ship Channel, Texas, Bayport to Morgan's and Bayport Flare, in Chambers County, Texas. Project Information: The work consists of Schedule No. 1 - Dredging of Houston Ship Channel Bayport to Morgan's and Bayport Flare. Pipeline dredging of approximately 1.3 million cubic yards of maintenance material to a depth of 46.5'. Placement of material to Atkinson marsh sites. Option - The Option will be for dredging Port of Houston Berths. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 245 calendar days/dredging rate of 10,000 cubic yards per day. Option No. 1, 30 calendar days if exercised. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $3,640.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the notice to Proceed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as "Unrestricted" full and open competition for both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about 18 July 2018. Response date is 17 August 2018 @ 2:00 PM (All bids must be submitted electronically via AMRDEC Safe). The estimated award date for this project is September 2018.
