- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase a 900 MHz CryoProbe ultra - high sensitivity NMR probe by other than full and open competition under the authority of FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisitions. This acquisition was pursued on a sole source basis as Bruker Biospin is currently the only manufacturer of cryoprobes that are fully compatible with the existing Bruker Avance 900 MHz NMR system that the item will be a part of. The only other high field NMR manufacturer does not produce cryoprobes that are compatible with existing Bruker cryoplatforms, gradient amplifier and consoles. Vendors may identify in writing their interest and capability in response to this requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received before the closing date of this announcement will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Award to be made based on response offering the best value to the Government considering price and response time.
