- This is a Sources Sought Notice for Fire Sprinkler System Pump Repair at the Detroit VA Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit MI., 48201. Please respond if you have the ability and intent to complete this requirement. Include in your response the following information: Capabilities Statement; Company Name and Address; DUNS Number; Socioeconomic Size Status (e.g. Large, Small, WOSB, SDVOSB) Point of Contact information (name, phone, email); FSS or GSA Contract Number, if applicable. Certificate or Information authorizing individual/company to work on ITT A-C Equipment. Failure to submit all requested information in response could result in exclusion from capable parties. This Sources Sought Notice is intended to locate any business capable of performance. The anticipated NAICS Code for this requirement is 561621. This is not a Request for Quotation and quotes shall not be reviewed at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by the contractor as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All responses shall be submitted via email by Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM EST. Responses shall be submitted to Jeremy Boston at Jeremy.Boston@va.gov. Phone calls shall not be accepted for this notice. The draft Statement of Work and make/model information is below. This Statement of Work is not finalized and will likely have changes should the government solicit this requirement. Draft Statement of Work Fire Sprinkler System Pump Repair Detroit VA Medical Center Project Scope The contractor shall provide all labor, parts and equipment necessary to complete the following scope of work to be completed on the Detroit VAMC s Fire Pump. The repairs are to rectify the fire pump failures identified during the pump vibration analysis testing. The Contractor shall provide a fire alarm technician during repairs to prevent false alarms of the fire alarm system during repairs and tests. The contractor shall complete the following: Replacement of the inboard and outboard pump bearings Replacement of suction and discharge casing gaskets, casing, stuffing box and sleeve protective O-rings. Replace pump gland screws and washers Replace packing Perform a precision laser shaft alignment. Field certify the pump repair Perform a post repair vibration analysis
