- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the procurement of the GE Inspection Technologies Mentor Visual iQ VideoProbe System. The system will be used to evaluate both 3-D Phase and 3-D Stereo Measurement technology offering both of these measurement capabilities in one system for Common Support Equipment applications in supporting maintenance and repair of various aircraft airframes and engines. GE Inspection Technologies (GEIT) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Mentor Visual iQ VideoProbe System and the only known source that is capable of providing the above peculiar system of the same form, fit and function that is under evaluation. The Government intends to award a contract for this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
