- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition for The FORMULATOR® - Protein Crystallography Screen Builder with Formulatrix, Inc., 10 DeAngelo Drive, Bedford, MA, 01730. 1). Rock Maker Experiment Design Edition, Academic Seat License Design Edition includes the following components:- Design Experiment- Integrate with Formulatrix Liquid Handlers- Create User Groups & Access Levels, Catalog # 364200, 1 EA., 2). Formulator 34 with Formulator Controlling Software Instrument License (Note: does not include air supply or controlling computer. Controlling computer sold separately or provided by customer. Air supply must be one of the following: 30 psi @ 0.14 cfm + 22 inHg vacuum @ 0.2 cfm,80 psi @ 1 cfm + Venturi Vacuum, or Pump Box. Comes with 30 Falcon caps with septa, 5 Nalgene caps with septa.), Catalog # 362030, 1 EA., 3). Pump Box 115V - 60Hz, Catalog # 366010, 1 EA., 4). Barcode printer with 2 rolls of labels (8000 labels total) and 6 ribbons, Catalog # 201620, 1 EA. They do not have any authorized third-party resellers for these products. The FORMULATOR® - Protein Crystallography Screen Builder is a next-generation liquid handler that uses patented microfluidic technology to dispense up to 34 different ingredients. Its unique 96-nozzle dispensing chip can dispense any volume of any ingredient of any viscosity into any well. Importantly, this machine does not need priming all dispense channels like others which increase the speed of delivery of experiment. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and equipment must be compatible with existing systems. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
