Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a Sole Source award under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Parata Systems, LLC, 2600 Meridian Parkway, Suite 100,Durham, NC 27713 for yearly Maintenance and Service of two (2) Parata PASS 208 unit dose machines and one (1) Parata CheckPASS machine located at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri. The required maintenance and service shall be compatible with Parata automation, including server and software. The Service Agreement shall cover all parts, labor, and travel expenses associated with the maintenance and cover any necessary repairs to the Parata automation listed above so that the Parata automation will function in accordance with the functional specification of Parata. The unit dose system was procured on a multiple year equipment lease to ownership plan (LTOP) agreement which consisted of a base year and four option years. The USMCFP, Springfield has exercised the option to purchase the equipment. The above service is required for operation of the equipment. The procurement will be a firm-fixed priced purchase order for the anticipated period of October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside and FOB destination. Any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements shall provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by the response deadline detailed in the FBO Posting. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Parata Systems, LLC. Responses must be emailed to rhanners@bop.gov by the response deadline detailed in the FBO Posting. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts. All vendors doing business with the federal government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) system.
