Description
Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 2018 July 20 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F18B0009 On or about 06 August 2018, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Install Switchyard Disconnect Switches, Gavins Point Dam, NE. The solicitation will close on or about 05 September 2018. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED AND OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit date and time will be issued with the advertisement package. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) This project includes upgrading the transmission line and generator bays by replacing the eighteen (18) existing 123kV group-operated manually operated disconnect switches, motor operated disconnect switches, associated grounding switches and the pole top pin insulators at the Gavins Point Powerhouse Switchyard. Work shall also include replacement of ACSR jumpers and upleads necessary to fully upgrade the bay to a 1200Amp capacity. The disconnect switches are government furnished and are to be installed by the contractor on top of the existing switchstands. All jumpers, upleads, tubular bus, connectors and miscellaneous hardware are to be furnished and installed by the contractor. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 410 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Bidders (Offerors): Please be advised of on-line registration requirement for Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) is now located in System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to SAM.
