- Description
- Justification The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Cincom Systems, Inc., 55 Merchant Street, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45246-3771, for a firm-fixed price contract modification for hardware upgrade, we must purchase additional software capacity in order to remain in compliance with the terms of the contract. This upgrade will bring the total licensed capacity to 65,000 MIPS on installed mainframes. This software is proprietary to Cincom Systems, Inc. has exclusive rights and does have authorize resellers of the software in use at SSA facilities. The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(i) "Soliciting from a Single Source." Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted in writing by Monday, 12 noon EDST on 07/30/2018 to Sherrie.Williams@ssa.gov. Telephone calls regarding this matter will neither be accepted nor returned.
