- Description
- Amendment 0003: Combined Synopsis/Solicitation 36C26318Q0627 Minneapolis VAMC Simulation Center AV Upgrade This amendment is to post questions and answers as of 07/19/2018. Question 1: The Instructions to Offerors limits responses to 5MB and 50 pages. The Solicitation is 52 pages. Can you clarify this response limit? Response: The 5MB and 50-page limit is for the quote and other supporting documentation requested for evaluation of offers and is in addition to the 52-page solicitation. Question 2: How is the Vaddio switcher being used? Response: The Vaddio switcher is used to support six camera views (4 in Sim Lab Room 227-C) and 2 in open Room 227 area. Question 3: How is the Vaddio multi-viewer being used? Response: Used with the switcher for viewing Room 227 or 227-C views during simulation. Question 4: How many simulations happen at the same time? Response: Normally just one class and one simulation at the same time, however, we have supported two-three simultaneous simulations. Question 5: How many microphones are required? Response: SOW identified two in open Room 227 area. Existing microphone in Room 227-C remains in place. Question 6: What is the purpose of the wireless microphone? Response: The existing Levoleer microphone is connected to two room speakers in Room 227 open area and Room 227-D Classroom for large group training for a trainer to walk between rooms so everyone can hear them. We have trained up to 55 Residents in our Simulation Center, so that is the purpose of the wireless microphone. It does have utility to mic a role player in a simulation. Question 7: What connectivity, VGA, HDMI does the client need into the system? Response: Upon selection of a vendor, the connection between the Laerdal SimView to the existing system is VGA, but could be HDMI and will be confirmed prior to work being done. At present time, Laerdal Field Service Engineer advised a VGA connection would be recommended (same as is in place now with existing 2009 version Laerdal AV System).
