- THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The MICC - Fort Knox is conducting market research for the following requirement: Gospel Musician Services - The contractor shall perform all services within the guidelines of the Gospel Community, Army Regulations and directives, and Religious Support Office policy statements. Musicians shall be responsible for playing the piano, guitar, and keyboard in support of religious services. The contractor shall provide Gospel Musician services for the Gospel Community Service, to include but not limited to Sunday services, rehearsals, and special services (with prior approval). The contractor shall be able to provide music as a basic element of religious service. The Gospel Community Service is held at Cavalry chapel locations at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Contract personnel shall be familiar with The Order of the service, Hymnals, and music used. Contractor shall be able to maintain appropriate tempo, play correct notes, keep rhythm, and maintain appropriate registration while playing the piano, guitar, or keyboard (as directed by the chapel pastor). Be able to read sheet music and play by ear. Musician shall be able to provide acceptable prelude and postlude and gospel praise music. The period of performance will be for one (1) Base Year of 12 months at the start of contract award. Hours/Units: Worship services and rehearsal times are subject to change by negotiation, as required and directed by the Installation/Garrison Chaplain or his/her authorized designee. Historical information for pricing is based on annual; 52 - Units Worship Service 52 - Units Rehearsals 4 - Units Special Services 4 - Units Rehearsals for Special Services TTL: 112 This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. It is a market research tool being used to determine procurement strategy. Appropriate procurement strategy will be determined after consideration of industry response to this sources sought synopsis. The U.S. government desires to award this repair service on small business set-aside basis, provided two or more qualified small businesses respond to this sources sought synopsis with information sufficient to support a set-aside. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside. We encourage all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The government is not obligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued.
