Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Contracting Office: Department of the Air Force, Air Force Space Command, 50th Space Wing, 50th Contracting Squadron, 210 Falcon Parkway, Suite 2116, Schriever AFB, CO 80912. Notice: In accordance with FAR 8.405-6, the 50th Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Comtech EF Data under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This award is for the 527th Space Aggressor Squadron to purchase Satellite Modems. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations; however, any challenges to this sole source must be received in writing by the Government for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete the requirement. Challenges must include information sufficient to enable the Government to make a determination that an equivalent service exists which would meet the Government's needs as stated herein. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220 (Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing) with the associated size standard of 1,250 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice no later than 2:00 p.m. MST, Friday, July 27, 2018 by email to ross.duval@us.af.mil. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
