Description
Service Contract Act Wage Determination Solicitation Information and Schedule of Items This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The work consists of the capture of approximately 40 horses of unknown ownership from the Sacramento Ranger District on the Lincoln National Forest in Otero County, New Mexico. The work also includes the care and transportation of the animals to a designated holding facility (final destination - Department of Corrections Facility, Santa Fe, New Mexico) within five hours of the gather site. Gathering and handling facilities will be provided by the Contractor. New Mexico Livestock Board will take possession of the captured horses at the final destination point in Santa Fe. As otherwise noted in this contract, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies and equipment necessary to accomplish the work. This contract is unique in the fact that the Contractor must not only supply the Forest Service (FS) with a service (gathering and shipping horses), but in doing so must place the health and well-being of the animal as well as their personal safety, as their first priorities. The work shall be accomplished in a safe and humane manner and be in accordance with appropriate New Mexico state laws and the following specifications and provisions.
