Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation is attached. The solicitation number is 12052118S0003 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 238220, business size standard is $15 million. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-101. The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price service contract for this requirement. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Central Ferry Research Farm, 639 Hastings Hill Rd, Pomeroy, WA 99347, has a requirement for heating systems in a work shop and greenhouse. Requirement: Greenhouse requirement: 2 - 175,000 minimim (for each) BTU UDAS sealed combustion unit propane heaters hung from the bow's and purlen's; wall vents kits, all gas piping interior and underground, all necessary hardware, and low voltage control wiring to the greenhouse controls. Pex tube was installed in the floor of the greenhouse for floor heat. Contractor is required to provide the all the necessary heating components for this structure for floor heating including but not limited too. Boiler unit or units, temperature controls, underground insulated piping connecting to the installed loops, valves and pumps, expansion tank, concentric venting, back flow, pressure regulator, low water cutoff, propane piping, and all necessary high and low voltage electrical. This unit will be housed beside the greenhouse in what we believe to be a 6x6 portable building to house the boiler unit that is anchored down for high winds. Work Shop Heating Requirement: Complete installation of a commercial grade 5 Ton Heat pump system with 15KW electrical backup heat adequate for industrial repair shop application. All electrical wiring (high and Low voltage) with thermostat All metal framing, filtering, and spiral ducting to evenly distribute air across the 50' X30' building. Removal and disposal of the old heating system and repair the shop roof where the exhaust pipe is now. A site visit is not required but highly recommended.
