- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Groveland, FL hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source, Blanket Purchase Agreement to LB Reptile Experience located in Jacksonville, FL. This contract action is for commercial services under NAICS code 812910, Pet Care (except Veterinary) Services for which the agency intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR 13.106-1(b), Simplified Acquisition procedures. The contract period is five (5) years with a five (5) year maximum estimated value of $100,000.00. This requirement is for intermittent housing, care, and well-being of venomous and non-venomous reptiles, birds, and certain mammals and aquatic species in custody of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Work includes general care, cleaning, feeding, watering, rehabilitation and reporting on health assessments, treatments, and overall condition of animals accepted at the facility. LB Reptile Experience is located in a close proximity to the North Central Florida District and is qualified and permitted to possess and care for a wide range of species and subspecies with significant caging requirements for venomous and dangerous wildlife. This announcement constitutes the only notice. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Responses received from this solicitation will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the agency not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the agency. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and would not be cost or time prohibitive.
