Description
The proposed acquisition covers a requirement for Barbed Wire Handlers Gloves; PGC 10205. The gloves are to be made in accordance with specification A-A-50054A. The requirement will be issued as a 100% total small business set-aside. The total order quantity will be 9,440 pairs to be delivered in four equal shipments of 2,360 pairs over a four month period. Delivery terms will be FOB destination, inspection and acceptance at origin. Destination(s) will include: 1) Pendergrass Distribution Center, Pendergrass, GA. The production lead-time will be 120 days after the date of the award. Therefore, shipments will be scheduled to begin no earlier than 120 days after the date of the award. An additional 60 days will be added for first article submission and testing, unless the first article testing requirement is waived. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. The solicitation will be posted on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) home page at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/. Detailed system requirements and instructions for registration can be also be found on the DIBBS home page. All contractors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit offers, which DLA Troop Support shall consider. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) on or after August 16, 2018. Please note that ALL materials used in the fabrication of this item shall be furnished by the successful offeror. DLA Troop Support has developed a web-based system that allows manufacturers the ability to request specifications, patterns and drawings on our contracting page.
