Description
This is a notice of intent that Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) anticipates issuing a Sole Source, five-year Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Requirements type contract to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. (CAGE: 0D0D0), 12-month Basic period and four additional 12-month Ordering Period, for a depot level repair capability for the specified component in support of the VOR/LOC Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR-2020). This effort is in support of repair for the MMR-2020 National Stock Number (NSN): 5826-01-626-3915CX, Part Number (P/N) P530A006-65. The MMR-2020 is a replacement system for the aging AN/ARN-14D and is considered a mission essential avionics system. Mission capabilities are significantly impacted if the MMR-2020 is not fully operational. The Repair of this item shall be in accordance with (IAW) applicable drawings and specifications within a specified Turn-Around-Time (TAT) while observing accepted quality standards. The Contractor shall furnish the services and materials necessary for the repair, testing, inspection, packaging and shipping of the identified NSN. This acquisition is anticipated to be a 5-year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) effort (Basic and 4 One-Year Ordering Periods. BAE (BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc., 150 Parish Dr. Wayne NJ 07470-6009, CAGE 0D0D0) has been the Source of Repair (SOR) for the MMR-2020. BAE Systems owns the proprietary Technical Data, special test equipment, Acceptance Test Procedure, and employs personnel that are specifically trained for the MMR-2020 production and repairs. The current RMC/RMSC code for this NSN is R3/R which is repaired for the second or subsequent time directly from the actual manufacturer as the Government does not own the data or rights to the data needed to contract repair of this part from additional sources. As the product was developed and modified exclusively by BAE, the data package is proprietary to the OEM therefore, there is no history of subcontractor work. The intended source for this acquisition is BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. (CAGE: 0D0D0), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. All sub-contracting inquiries should be submitted to BAE Systems for consideration.
