- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 7 (NCO 7) intends to solicit proposals from contractors to provide temporary Vascular Surgery services on site to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Dorn VAMC in Columbia, South Carolina. Contractor shall furnish services at the Dorn VAMC, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The contractor s physician(s) shall provide onsite care to include performing a variety of surgical procedures, daily rounds in surgical floors, provide evaluations, assessment, treatment in the inpatient and outpatient clinical setting and provide education when applicable. The contractor s physician(s) shall cover clinic, on call, call back s, minor/elective vascular operations, and emergency services when appropriate. The estimated number of hours needed for this contract for weekday coverage is estimated at 2000 hours over a six-month period. Call back coverage will be required at an estimated total of 500 hours. The contractor s physician(s) shall be on site for duty in any of these areas: IR, Operating Room or Clinic Coverage. Duty day will consist of 0800-1630, Monday- Friday unless otherwise required. The contractor s physician(s) shall provide daily rounds on the surgical floor and participate in the on-call rotation for surgical patients and be available for call back on vascular surgical patients. The VA anticipates issuing a competitive solicitation, SDVOSB set aside, for this requirement on or about August 9, 2018. The proposal due date will be approximately ten (10) calendar days after the solicitation is issued. Interested offerors will be responsible for downloading copies of the contemplated solicitation and any subsequent amendments. No hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website (https://www.fbo.gov) so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management database. Registration is free, and potential offerors are encouraged to visit the SAM website, as no contract can be awarded to any offeror not registered in SAM. The NAICS Code is 561320 (Temporary Help Services) with a Small Business Size Standard of $27.5M.
