Description
Request for Qualifications with Construction Firm Past Performance Form, Design Firm Past Performance Form, and Qualifications Package Cover Sheet Construction Firm Past Performance Form Request for Qualifications Design Firm Past Performance Form Qualifications Package Cover Sheet The St. Paul District is planning to solicit for the design and construction of new tow rail systems for up to six (6) of our lock and dam sites on the Mississippi River. It is the District's intent to select the contractor via a two-step design build process where the Corps will first post a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and then select a small group (3-5) firms from those who responded to compete for the final contract award. The current scope of the project includes but is not limited to: 1. Design of the new tow rail system 2. Removal of the existing tow rail system 3. Repair/replacement of concrete to support the new contractor designed tow rail system 4. Fabrication and installation of the new tow rail system 5. Testing and inspection to verify that the new system meets the required performance requirements. Most of the work will be required to be completed during the non-navigation season to minimize the level of interference with river traffic. This will require the work, including removal and replacement of the concrete, to be completed in sub-freezing conditions. The sites currently under consideration for this procurement are lock and dam 4, 5, 5A, 7, 8 & 9.
