Description

J&A Sole Source Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Advantor Systems IAW FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) (ii), Supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in a substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. The contractor will construct, repair, install as well as test and balance the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) at the 125th Fighter Wing is to ensure 100% compliance with all requirements identified in Air Force Instruction (AFI) 31-101, Integrated Defense, reference IDS, Intrusion Detection Equipment (IDE) for Protection Level 3 (PL3) resources. Approved IDE is identified on the 02 November 2015 Non-Nuclear Intrusion Detection System Equipment Approval listing approved by HQ USAF/A7S. The procurement will expand the existing Intrusion Detection System to other areas. Currently, Advantor is the only system approved for IDS use that is compatible with the existing 125 FW alarm system. Efforts to obtain competition were not sought as the systems expands on a currently used proprietary system.
