- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and quotes are being requested. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-98. This procurement is set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 336412 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1500 employees. A SCOPE OF CONTRACT The contractor shall furnish all parts, labor, and facilitating equipment for the overhaul of specified Pratt and Whitney Wasp Jr. 450 HP R-985-AN-14B aircraft engine in accordance with the attached delivery requirements, service requirements, and specifications for the US Forest Service. B LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION All overhaul and repairs shall be in accordance with current FAA regulations, manufacturers overhaul manuals, service bulletins, service letters, AD's and recommendations governing the overhaul of aircraft engines of the type specified in this Solicitation. The engine will be shipped to the successful vendor for overhaul. The work will be performed at an FAA approved station. (If a wage determination is not attached for the county where the repair station is located, please contact the Contracting Officer to obtain one). See the attached documents for all the work details, terms, conditions, and offer submittal instructions. Contractors must be registered in www.sam.gov in order to submit an offer. Obtaining a DUNS number and registering in SAM are free of charge. Offer submission period extended until 8/20/18 at 4:30 PM ET
