- This Special Notice is for informational purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect cost or changes by the Government will arise as a result of contractor participation in the Meet and Greet. NAVAIR Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) and The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) are hosting an informational Meet and Greet on Wednesday, 5 September 2018, in California, Maryland. The focus of the event is to inform our Small Business and Industry partners of the Commander's Intent and Small Business Relevance to the Industrial Base. Speakers will include the Honorable James F. Geurts, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, and NAVAIR Leadership, who will present their Small Business perspectives, followed by a question and answer session. Small Businesses may participate in Business Matchmaking appointments with NAVAIR, PTAC, TEDCO, SBDC, OSBP and Industry representatives between 1:00PM to 4:00PM. Each matchmaking appointment will last 15 minutes followed by a 5 minute break. Due to space constraints, only two people per matchmaking appointment. NOTE: There are two separate registrations for the morning program and afternoon matchmaking appointments. There is no access to Wi-Fi/Internet or electrical power in the rooms where Business Matchmaking will be held. Please limit your materials to handouts and/or brochures that you provide. The event will be held from 8:00AM - 4:00PM at SMHEC with check-in starting at 715AM EST. HOW TO REGISTER: This event is open on a first-come, first-serve basis, to all Industry representatives whose companies can provide products and services to NAVAIR. ID will be required at check-in. You must register in order to attend. Due to the security and capacity limitations of the venue, we are unable to accommodate walk-ins the day of the event.
